Job summary

TMG Construction is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to oversee cradle-to-grave lifecycle activities on small commercial or institutional design/build projects, or support larger projects. The role covers a range of delivery methods, and work is largely subcontractor-driven with potential for self-performed tasks.

Qualified candidates will manage project controls, scheduling, cost tracking, and coordination of submittals, while supporting change management, quantity surveying, and closeout

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Engineering or Construction Management with 2-3 years of experience with a commercial and/or industrial general contractor or 5 years of directly related experience with no degree.
• Demonstrated experience in estimating and managing self-performed work; proficiency with construction means and methods.
• Proficient with spreadsheets, email, and other construction industry software.

Responsibilities

• Create, update, and maintain project controls for status, changes, RFIs, shop drawings, submittals, quality controls, safety, financial performance, and close-out.
• Coordinate shop drawings and submittals with subject matter experts.
• Manage change orders, pricing, and proposals; document communication with vendors.
