Job summary

Steel Nation, headquartered in Canonsburg, is hiring an Accounts Receivable Specialist to manage AR processing and provide accounting support across functions. The role supports a PEMB company with growth in energy and industrial sectors.

The candidate will handle invoicing, collections, and payment processing while assisting with additional accounting tasks in a fast-paced construction environment. A degree in accounting and 2+ years of AR experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum two-years accounts receivable or general accounting experience.
• Construction accounting experience is ideal.
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• Experience with Sage 100 Contractor, or similar accounting systems.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced construction environment.

Responsibilities

• Create new jobs in the accounting system.
• Prepare and send accounts receivable invoicing.
• Assist with accounts receivable collections.
• Update the weekly “sales wins” tracking report.
• Process incoming ACH and check payments.
• Serve as a backup to accounts payable.
• Provide overall accounting support as needed.
