Job summary

Steel Nation, headquartered in Canonsburg, is hiring an Accounts Receivable Specialist to manage AR processing and provide accounting support across functions. The role supports a PEMB company with growth in energy and industrial sectors.

The candidate will handle invoicing, collections, and payment processing while assisting with additional accounting tasks in a fast-paced construction environment. A degree in accounting and 2+ years of AR experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum two-years accounts receivable or general accounting experience.
• Construction accounting experience is ideal.
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• Experience with Sage 100 Contractor, or similar accounting systems.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced construction environment.

We have an immediate opening for an Accounts Receivable Specialist at our Canonsburg headquarters. In support of our ongoing business growth, this role will serve as the primary Accounts Receivable processor as well as an accounting resource, with responsibilities across a variety of accounting functions.

• Create new jobs in the accounting system
• Prepare and send accounts receivable invoicing
• Assist with accounts receivable collections
• Update the weekly “sales wins” tracking report
• Process incoming ACH and check payments
• Serve as a backup to accounts payable
• Provide overall accounting support as needed
