Job summary

Associated General Contractors of America, Inc. seeks a Specialist, Construction Advocacy to advance political engagement and legislative advocacy.

You will manage day-to-day AGC PAC operations, donor engagement, and support candidate and fundraising activity, ensuring programs meet regulatory requirements. Working with the Advocacy Team, you'll develop timely reports, digital content, and updates to help AGC members engage in the legislative process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in political science, public policy, government relations, communications, business, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Cultivates and maintains relationships with current and potential PAC donors.
• Coordinates database records for PAC prior authorizations, contributions, donor activity, acknowledgments, and related follow-up.
• Works with the Senior Director of Political Affairs to identify opportunities to expand and strengthen the PAC donor base and increase member participation.
• Prepares and processes check requests for AGC PAC disbursements; liaises with members and chapters for check delivery; prepares letters of transmittal.
• Produces and compiles background material for AGC PAC Board of Trustees and national AGC meetings.
• Prepares PAC-related reports for AGC officer meetings with chapters.
• Supports fundraising efforts and donor recognition programs at AGC national meetings.
• Participates in candidate meetings, fundraisers, and political events and prepares meeting materials.
