Job summary

The Planet Group is seeking a Construction Administrator to support civil infrastructure and building projects. You will oversee contract administration, document reviews, RFIs, submittals, and provide construction administration support to ensure project success.

Responsibilities include monitoring progress, coordinating meetings, and maintaining schedules, while communicating with clients, contractors, and engineers to drive quality and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • Experience administering construction contracts and reviewing documents.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specs and documents.
  • Knowledge of construction contracts, general conditions and specs.
  • Strong quality control and documentation practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with clients and teams.
  • Organizational skills to manage multiple projects.
  • Ability to verify quantities, measurements, and costs.
  • Travel to project sites with valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Administer construction contracts throughout the construction phase of assigned projects.
  • Monitor construction progress for compliance with plans, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Review architectural and engineering plans, specifications, and technical documents.
  • Coordinate and track RFIs, submittals, contractor correspondence, and project documentation.
  • Review contractor pay applications, change orders, and supporting documentation.
  • Perform site visits and prepare accurate daily observation reports.
  • Coordinate and document construction progress meetings with project stakeholders.
  • Assist with constructability reviews and identify potential project issues.
  • Maintain project schedules and monitor construction milestones.
  • Ensure quality control procedures are followed and closeout requirements.
  • Coordinate post-construction services, inspections, punch lists, and final documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Manage multiple projects while maintaining schedule, budget, and quality.

The Planet Group is currently seeking a Construction Administrator for a growing company in the engineering and construction consulting industry. Qualified candidates must have experience administering construction contracts, reviewing construction documents, coordinating RFIs and submittals, and providing construction administration support for civil infrastructure or building projects.

Our client is seeking a Construction Administrator to support the successful delivery of construction projects by providing construction administration, contract management, and project coordination services. This role will oversee construction-phase activities, ensure compliance with contract documents, and serve as a key liaison between clients, contractors, engineers, and project stakeholders

.Key responsibilities include
  • :Administer construction contracts throughout the construction phase of assigned projects

  • s.Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and contract document
  • s.Experience reviewing RFIs, submittals, change orders, and contractor payment application
  • s.Knowledge of construction contract documents, general conditions, and technical specification
  • s.Strong understanding of construction quality control procedures and documentation requirement
  • s.Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively with clients, contractors, and project team
  • s.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritie
  • s.Strong mathematical skills with the ability to verify quantities, measurements, and project cost
  • s.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acroba
  • t.Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as neede
