Job summary

BWBR ARCHITECTS INC is seeking an experienced Construction Administrator to join our St. Paul office. You will serve as the vital link between design intent and construction reality, overseeing project execution to ensure quality, compliance, and client satisfaction.

You’ll be embedded in the construction process, working closely with Owners, architects, engineers, and contractors. You’ll work with Owners, architects, engineers, and contractors, attending OAC meetings, reviewing submittals,

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, construction management, or equivalent related experience.
  • 5–15 years of experience in construction administration.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, construction methods, materials, and detailing.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural and engineering drawings.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Newforma or similar construction administration software.
  • Architecture licensure or certification is a plus but not required.
  • Experience in healthcare and science & technology markets is a plus.
  • Travel required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage construction administration services for multiple commercial projects simultaneously.
  • Attend construction OAC meetings, perform site observation visits, and prepare and distribute field reports.
  • Review and process submittals, RFIs, change orders, and other communications through Newforma and other programs.
  • Ensure construction aligns with construction documents, codes, and specifications.
  • Act as liaison between the project team and the contractor to ensure smooth communication.
  • Collaborate with the project design team to resolve design issues during construction.
  • Maintain quality control and adherence to project budgets and schedules.
  • Monitor the project construction schedule and track progress.
  • Coordinate punch lists, substantial completion, and project close-out.
