Job summary

Trout CPA is seeking a Senior Associate in its Tax department to take greater ownership of engagements and deepen technical expertise. You’ll prepare and review complex returns while continuing to build relationships with clients and team members.

The role supports tax planning, consulting, and tax provision work, with oversight of Associates to ensure timely, high-quality deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Accounting.
• Three (3) to five (5) years of tax preparation experience, preferably with a CPA firm.
• CPA license or actively working toward licensure.
• Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
• Experience with CCH Axcess or comparable tax software is a plus.
• Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review complex individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns
• Manage tax engagements and help ensure accurate, timely client deliverables
• Research tax issues and identify opportunities to reduce clients’ tax liabilities
• Assist with tax planning, consulting, and tax provision work
• Review the work of Associates and provide guidance and feedback
• Communicate with clients and team members regarding tax matters and engagement expectations
