Job summary

Vaco by Highspring is seeking a Construction Accounting Coordinator / Project Accountant to support active construction and development projects onsite in Woodland Hills, CA. This temp-to-hire role focuses on project accounting activities, including cost tracking and invoicing.

You will work with project managers, vendors, and subcontractors, use Yardi and Excel, and bring 2–3 years of construction or real estate accounting experience.

Our client, a growing real estate development firm specializing in residential and affordable housing projects, is seeking a Construction Accounting Coordinator / Project Accountant to support active construction and development projects. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate!

Key Qualifications & Responsibilities:

• Support project accounting activities, including invoice processing, cost tracking, reconciliations, and maintaining accurate financial records.
• Assist with construction draws, ensuring invoices, subcontractor documentation, and project expenses are complete and organized for funding requests.
• Coordinate with project managers, vendors, and subcontractors to resolve documentation issues and track project expenditures.
• Utilize Yardi and Excel to maintain project accounting data, generate reports, and support financial analysis.
• Bring 2-3 years of construction or real estate accounting experience, including exposure to construction draws, subcontractor billing, and project accounting processes.
