Job summary

LHH is partnering with a growing construction organization in Sacramento to fill a Project Accountant role focused on project financial operations, job costing, billing, and reporting.

Candidates must have 1–2+ years in project or construction accounting with direct GC experience and be onsite. Responsibilities include managing job costs, supporting billings and contract administration, and providing monthly close support with project managers. U.S. work authorization preferred.

Qualifications

• 1–2+ years of project accounting or construction accounting experience.
• General Contractor (GC) experience required.
• Experience with job costing and construction accounting.
• Experience with Sage and/or Procore preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Onsite required.

Responsibilities

• Support project billings, change orders, and contract administration.
• Reconcile project accounts and assist with month-end close.
• Partner with Project Managers to ensure financial accuracy.

Key Requirement

Experience working for a General Contractor (GC) is REQUIRED

Candidates with only subcontractor experience will not be considered

• Reconcile project accounts and assist with month-end close
• Partner with Project Managers to ensure financial accuracy
• Prepare project-related financial reports and analysis
