Job summary

The Redland Company is seeking an Accountant to support a construction-focused accounting team. The role involves processing invoices, tracking expenses, generating AIA pay apps, and maintaining AR records.

You will input financial data, assist with month-end close, and provide admin support to the accounting department. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or 5 years in construction accounting, proficiency in Sage 300 and Excel, and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required or 5 years in construction accounting preferred.
• Proficiency with Sage 300 and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of construction-specific accounting practices is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Invoice processing: review, verify, and prepare for payment.
• Track project expenses and reconcile budgets.
• Generate and send AIA pay apps; follow up on outstanding payments.
• Maintain accounts receivable records and vendor communications.
• Data entry and record keeping; input into accounting software.
• Support month-end close with journal entries and financial reports.
• Provide general administrative support to accounting team.
