Job summary

Struction Solutions is seeking a Constructability Review Specialist to support the Design Manager and Owner Authorized Representative during preconstruction. This role reviews project requirements and design documents to identify issues before bidding and construction.

The position focuses on coordinating across design disciplines, identifying constructability concerns, and preparing comprehensive reviews of pre-bid documents. Candidates must meet one of two senior-level experience paths.

Qualifications

• 15 years of full-time, paid professional experience in architecture and/or construction administration or construction management.
• Public or educational facility project experience is required with high-value projects.
• Two years of college coursework with five years of additional experience may substitute for the education requirement.

• Recommend value engineering opportunities early in design.

• Review progress plans for inconsistencies, ambiguities, conflicts, errors, and omissions that could lead to requests for information or change orders.

• Check that documents are coordinated across design disciplines.

• Prepare comprehensive constructability reviews of pre-bid construction documents.

• Coordinate findings and recommendations with the Design Manager and Owner Authorized Representative.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Candidates must meet one of the following experience paths:

• Architecture and construction administration: An architecture degree and 15 years of full-time, paid professional experience, including 10 years as a Construction Administrator and five years as a Designer. Construction administration experience must include full responsibility for supporting public or educational facility construction projects. Projects must have a construction value of at least $8 million for a single project or a combined cumulative value of at least $80 million.

• Construction management: 15 years of full-time, paid professional experience as a Project Superintendent or Project Manager on public or educational facility construction projects and/or large commercial projects. Experience must include full responsibility for coordinating complex projects, with a single project valued at more than $30 million and a combined cumulative project value of $400 million.

A minimum of two years of college-level coursework from a recognized college, university, or trade school, plus five years of additional experience, may be substituted for the educational requirement.

Additional Qualifications

• Ability to work quickly, efficiently, and confidently.

• Proficiency in writing RFCs and reviewing submittals and change orders.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Bluebeam.
