Job summary

The Greenridge Group is a prime contractor and consulting firm specializing in Project and Construction Management for major public-sector agencies. We are seeking an experienced Constructability Review Specialist to support LAUSD’s Facilities Services Division.

This role suits a seasoned architecture or construction professional with extensive experience in preconstruction, constructability reviews, construction administration, and complex public/educational facilities.

Qualifications

• Experience in preconstruction and constructability reviews.
• Ability to review complex design documents for inconsistencies.
• Strong coordination across design disciplines.

• Support the Design Manager and Owner Authorized Representative (OAR) throughout the preconstruction phase.
• Assist with defining and reviewing the Project Requirement Document, including scope, schedule, and interim housing requirements.
• Provide value engineering recommendations early in the design process.
• Review design deliverables to identify inconsistencies, ambiguities, conflicts, errors, and omissions to help minimize RFIs and change orders.
• Ensure proper coordination among design disciplines.
• Perform comprehensive constructability reviews of pre-bid construction documents.
• Collaborate closely with the Design Manager and OAR to resolve constructability and coordination issues.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

We are seeking an experienced Constructability Review Specialist to support LAUSD’s Facilities Services Division. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned architecture or construction professional with extensive experience in preconstruction, constructability reviews, construction administration, and complex public/educational facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Design Manager and Owner Authorized Representative (OAR) throughout the preconstruction phase.
• Assist with defining and reviewing the Project Requirement Document, including scope, schedule, and interim housing requirements.
• Provide value engineering recommendations early in the design process.

• Ensure proper coordination among design disciplines.

Minimum Requirements

Candidates must meet one of the following qualification pathways:

• Architecture / Construction Administration: 15 years of full-time professional experience with an Architecture degree, including 10 years as a Construction Administrator and 5 years as a Designer. Construction Administration experience must include public/educational facility construction projects with full project-support responsibility. Qualifying projects must have a construction value of $8M+ for a single project or $80M+ cumulatively.

OR

• Project Management / Superintendent: 15 years of full-time professional experience as a Project Manager or Project Superintendent on public/educational facility and/or large commercial construction projects, with responsibility for coordinating complex projects. Qualifying experience must include a single project exceeding $30M and combined cumulative project value of $400M.
• LAUSD also allows two years of college-level coursework plus five additional years of experience as a substitution for the educational requirement.

Additional Qualifications: Ability to work quickly, efficiently, and confidently; proficiency in preparing RFCs and reviewing submittals and change orders; and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Bluebeam.
