Job summary

IonQ, a leader in quantum computing, seeks a Lead Accountant to guide the US accounting team through the monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidation of IonQ’s global entity portfolio. The role emphasizes close coordination, accurate reporting, and building scalable processes for rapid growth.

You will oversee consolidation entries, currency translation, and acquisitions while partnering with global finance teams to shorten close cycles and ensure regulatory compliance under US GAAP.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Accounting or Finance required.
• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience with consolidation in multi-entity environments.
• Hands-on experience owning monthly and quarterly close.
• Strong US GAAP knowledge (ASC 810, 805, 830) and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end consolidated close across IonQ entities and prepare monthly/quarterly/annual results.
• Manage subsidiary reporting packages and intercompany eliminations for consolidation.
• Oversee foreign currency translation and business combinations within ASC guidance.
• Design scalable consolidation processes and control environments.
• Support external audits with consolidated schedules and analyses.
