Job summary

MoFo seeks a Conflicts Resolution Attorney for the Conflicts/New Business team. The role can be based in San Francisco, San Diego, or New York. The attorney will align work with firm guidelines and resolve conflicts, drafting waivers and providing guidance to partners and staff.

Responsibilities include conducting in-depth conflicts analysis, communicating with risk managers, and contributing to policy enhancements. A J.D.

Qualifications

• J.D. admitted to a U.S. jurisdiction (California preferred).
• Minimum two years of relevant law firm or legal experience with conflicts resolution and risk management.
• Strong knowledge of conflicts of interest rules and resolution processes.
• Excellent written and oral communication; ability to train and lead teams.

Responsibilities

• Expedite conflict report resolution by researching databases and prioritizing issues.
• Review and approve conflict reports and advise on ethical walls.
• Draft and review conflicts waiver language for engagement letters and guidelines.
• Support conflicts counsel and advise attorneys on conflicts matters.
• Analyze complex conflicts issues aligning with firm objectives and risk guidelines.
• Participate in ongoing conflicts-related projects and training.
• Contribute to a shared coverage model with occasional after-hours hours.
