Job summary

ABA Search, Inc. supports a large international law firm in a hybrid conflicts and new business intake role. The position focuses on ethical compliance, risk management, and onboarding of clients and matters.

You will analyze conflicts of interest, draft ethical screens and waivers, and Ensure compliance with conduct rules across jurisdictions. Strong JD, bar membership, and 3+ years required; travel may be necessary.

Qualifications

• JD degree and active bar membership in good standing.
• 3+ years conflicts resolution or 5+ years as attorney.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with iManage.
• Willingness to travel and work extended hours.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and resolve conflicts of interest for lateral hires and new business.
• Draft and review ethical screens, conflict waivers, and risk provisions.
• Ensure compliance with Rules of Professional Conduct.
• Stay current on ethics rules across jurisdictions.
• Track rule changes and advise conflicts leadership.
• Review client engagement terms, including outside counsel guidelines.
• Conduct conflicts research on corporate relationships and affiliations.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional conduct in all matters.
