Job summary

Arnold & Porter is a leading international law firm seeking a Conflicts Attorney in a hybrid role across multiple U.S. offices, including Seattle.

You will identify, analyze, and resolve conflicts of interest for new clients, matters, and personnel while collaborating with firm leadership on professional-responsibility matters. Responsibilities include reviewing conflicts results, guiding attorneys, gathering due-diligence data, and drafting engagement letters, waivers, and ethics screens.

Qualifications

• J.D. required.
• Bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction preferred; must obtain admission if not already.
• Experience at a large law firm with conflicts of interest or professional responsibility is preferred.
• Strong research, organization, and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify, analyze, and resolve conflicts of interest and related professional-responsibility matters.
• Review conflicts search results and first-level analysis; provide guidance to attorneys.
• Gather and communicate due-diligence information for ethics committees and firm management.
• Draft engagement letters, conflict waivers, and ethics screens.
• Conduct research and drafting on policy and professional-responsibility matters.
• Supervise staff performing conflicts-of-interest analysis.
