Job summary

Norton Rose Fulbright US LLP seeks an experienced Compliance Analyst (Lateral Hiring Conflicts) to perform conflict-of-interest reviews for US lateral hiring. You will analyze matter intake, research corporate histories, and identify potential issues for attorney review while maintaining strict confidentiality.

The role requires strong research, excellent written and oral communication, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or five years of conflicts/analyst experience
• Excellent oral and written business communication skills; exposure to international business correspondence is a plus
• Strong interpersonal and analytical skills; ability to learn conflict of interest principles and maintain confidentiality

Responsibilities

• Respond to conflicts of interest searches and assist with lawyer review
• Review information submitted for completeness and accuracy; follow up as needed
• Research corporate history and affiliations of clients and parties
• Craft effective database searches using Boolean operators and assess relevancy of results
• Summarize basis for potential conflicts and communicate with assigned Compliance Attorney
• Collaborate with Compliance Attorney to ensure efficient workflow
• Adhere to Global Practice Standards and firm policies regarding confidentiality and share dealings
