The ideal candidate will be proficient in MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, Litera for Word, and DocuSign, with strong communication skills and discretion handling confidential information.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of professional conflicts experience in a mid-size to large law firm.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Reliable self-starter who manages multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, Litera for Word and DocuSign.
• Familiarity with California Rules of Professional Conduct.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and analyze conflict checks using the firm’s conflicts database.
• Draft engagement letters, conflict waivers, and retainer invoices.
• Coordinate with attorneys to obtain matter information for intake.
• Open and maintain client budgets; track letters, waivers and retainers.
• Assist with conflict clearance requests for lateral hires.
• Ensure compliance with rules of professional conduct and firm policies.
• Train attorneys and staff on conflict check procedures.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2+ years of conflicts experience out of a mid-sized to large law firm and strong technical skills.

Duties

• Conduct and analyze conflict checks using the firm's conflicts database
• Draft engagement letters, conflict waivers, and retainer invoices for new and existing clients
• Coordinate with attorneys to obtain complete and accurate matter information for intake
• Open and maintain client budgets
• Track outstanding engagement letters, conflict waivers, retainers, and outside counsel guidelines
• Assist with lateral hire and new attorney conflict clearance requests
• Ensure compliance with applicable rules of professional conduct and firm policies regarding conflicts and client intake
• Train attorneys and staff on conflict check request procedures

Requirements

• 2 – 5 years of professional conflicts experience out of a mid-size to large law firm (PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THIS EXPERIENCE)
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Reliable self-starter who manages multiple priorities with composure in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, Litera for Word, DocuSign
• Familiarity with the California Rules of Professional Conduct and ethics rules governing conflicts of interest
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion

The salary range for this position is from $65,000-$75,000, DOE.
