Job summary

Norton Rose Fulbright US LLP seeks experienced compliance lawyers to join the US Compliance Team, focusing on reviewing conflict-of-interest checks for lateral hires and resolving issues to facilitate hiring.

The role reports to an Assistant Deputy General Counsel, collaborates with global teams, supervises two analysts, and requires commitment to work outside regular hours with a rotating on-call schedule.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice law in one or more States where the firm has an office (US).
• Experience working as an attorney.
• Strong knowledge of US conflicts rules.
• Excellent commercial judgment and communication skills.
• Ability to supervise two analysts and work with senior management.

Responsibilities

• Advise partners and the Global Compliance Team on conflicts of interest and resolution.
• Supervise workflows and the work of at least two Compliance Analysts.
• Interact with Norton Rose Fulbright US LLP management to resolve conflicts in new matter intake and lateral hires.
• Drive conflict issues to full resolution and manage 15–30 matters at once.
• Prepare conflict reports for prospective lateral hires with recommended solutions.
• Assist with compliance issues related to stock dealings, sanctions, AML, and cyber security.
• Collaborate with Compliance Teams in Australia, Canada, South Africa, Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
