Job summary

Bering-Alaka`ina Holdings, LLC is seeking a Configuration Management Engineer to support our government customer in Arlington, Virginia. The role is 100% on site and requires U.S. citizenship and active Top‑Secret clearance.

Responsibilities include leading change boards, controlling CM processes, and coordinating with engineering and program management. A BS in a related field or 4–7 years CM experience plus ITIL v4 and Security+ are required.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science with a concentration in computer related technology, business administration or four to seven (4-7) years of experience in the field of configuration management.
Current ITIL v4, security +

Responsibilities

Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills.
Lead Change Advisory Board (CAB) or Change Control Board (CCB) facilitation and provide clear guidance and detailed planning.
Control, maintain and store software work products with complete traceability through a documented change management process.
Development or testing experience in UNIX, Windows or VMware environments.
Knowledge of TI governance and control frameworks (NIST, COBIT, COSO, ITIL).
Create and improve CM processes.
Facilitate configuration CCB.
Provide CM assessments and inputs to engineering change requests.
Interface with engineering disciplines and program management.

Bering-Alaka`ina Holdings, LLC is looking for a Configuration Management Engineer to support our government customer located in Arlington, Virginia. This position is 100% on site.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills
Experienced with build processes and an ability to lead to facilitate a Change Advisory Board (CAB) or CCB and provide clear guidance and detailed planning.
Other duties include but not limited to:
- Control, maintain and store software work products, including COTS – ensuring complete traceability of changes through a documented change management process
- Development or testing experience in a UNIX, Windows or VMWARE environment
- Knowledge and experience with TI governance and control frameworks (NIST, COBIT, COSO, ITIL)
- Creating and improving CM processes
- Facilitating configuration CCB
- Providing CM assessments and inputs to engineering change requests
- Interfacing with all engineering disciplines and program management.
Other duties as assigned.

Required Degree / Education / Certification

Bachelor of Science with a concentration in computer related technology, business administration or four to seven (4-7) years of experience in the field of configuration management.
Current ITIL v4, security +

Required Skills and Experience

Ensure delivery of reliable products to customers by maintaining consistent processes governing the coordination, tracking, planning, scheduling, and building of all software components.
PMP or Project + (highly desired)
Needs to have experience with SharePoint, Excel and MS Project as they are the tools used most frequently in this position.
Good communication and experience working with the Change Management Board as they are the main point of contact for this group.

Required Citizenship and Clearance

U.S. Citizenship required.
Must have an active Top‑Secret clearance.
