Job summary

Lorien is seeking a Configuration / Business Systems Analyst for a global insurance client. You will support and maintain a portfolio of Exposure Risk Management applications used in underwriting, risk assessment and modelling.

You will liaise with vendors, manage releases and deployments, and maintain technical documentation. This role offers hybrid working (2 days in the office) in the United Kingdom, with a salary up to £65,000 plus a 12.5% bonus and 25 days' annual leave plus bank holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience with system migration and integration in complex environments.
• Industry experience in insurance preferred.
• Proficient in SQL and data querying.
• Understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain a portfolio of Exposure Risk Management applications.
• Investigate incidents and service requests; coordinate with vendors on resolutions.
• Liaise with third-party vendors for upgrades and service delivery.
• Coordinate maintenance, releases, upgrades and deployments.
• Manage Jira and ServiceNow queues to prioritise work.
• Develop and maintain runbooks and support procedures.
• Assist with testing activities and release validation.
• Hybrid working: 2 days in the office.

Job description

You will join a successful international insurance company who specialise in commercial insurance and reinsurance products. The team are looking for a Configuration / Business Systems Analyst to work within a collaborative technology team, to play a key role in supporting business-critical applications, evaluating business and system requirements, configuring and supporting business applications, producing and maintaining technical documentation, and supporting the testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance of systems.

Reporting to the Lead Configuration Developer in the team and the role will be responsible for managing the ongoing build and maintenance of the application set. You will support a portfolio of Exposure Risk Management applications used across the business to support underwriting, risk assessment, and modelling activities.

Main responsibilities:

• Support, administer and maintain a portfolio of Exposure Risk Management applications.
• Investigate and resolve application incidents, service requests, and technical issues.
• Liaise with third-party vendors to manage support cases, issue resolution, upgrades, and service delivery.
• Coordinate application maintenance, releases, upgrades, and deployment activities.
• Manage and prioritise work across Jira and ServiceNow queues.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance operational documentation, runbooks, and support procedures.
• Assist with testing activities, release validation, and user acceptance processes.
• Hybrid working: 2 days in the office
• Salary up to £65,000 + 12.5% bonus
