Job Title: Senior IT Business Analyst (Insurance Technology)
Location: Hybrid or Remote (Midwest U.S.)
Responsibilities
- Partner with business and technology stakeholders to define requirements, future-state processes, and strategic technology solutions that support enterprise objectives
- Lead discovery sessions, workshops, and requirements-gathering efforts across business, product, and technology teams to drive alignment and successful project outcomes
- Translate business needs into detailed functional requirements, user stories, process flows, acceptance criteria, and supporting documentation
- Challenge existing workflows and legacy processes to identify opportunities for modernization, operational efficiency, and business process improvement
- Support large-scale technology initiatives including core platform implementations, system integrations, modernization programs, and digital transformation projects
- Partner with architects, developers, QA teams, and project stakeholders to ensure business requirements are accurately reflected in solution design and delivery
- Assist with UAT planning, requirements validation, test scenario development, and business readiness activities
- Manage requirement dependencies, risks, change impacts, and competing priorities across multiple initiatives and workstreams
- Communicate project progress, recommendations, and strategic insights to both business leadership and technical teams
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior business analysts while promoting best practices across the organization
Required Skills & Experience
- 6+ years of Business Analysis experience supporting enterprise software, technology, or business transformation initiatives
- Strong experience within Property & Casualty insurance, specialty insurance, or related financial services environments
- Proven ability to lead requirements gathering, process analysis, stakeholder workshops, and business process improvement initiatives
- Experience supporting enterprise modernization efforts, including core system implementations, legacy system migrations, or platform transformation programs
- Ability to translate complex business objectives into actionable requirements, user stories, workflows, and functional specifications
- Strong understanding of insurance operations, including underwriting, policy administration, claims, rating, or related business functions
- Experience working with insurance technology platforms, CRM systems, integrations, or enterprise business applications is highly preferred
- Exposure to data analytics, AI-enabled business capabilities, or data-driven decision-making initiatives is a plus
- Exceptional communication, facilitation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, including experience supporting executive-level audiences
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred
Compensation
Base Salary: $100,000 – $120,000 + Full Comprehensive Benefits
