Job summary

Great Wolf in Colorado Springs is seeking a Conference Services Manager to oversee meetings, events and programs from pre-arrival to post-departure, while enhancing client experience and revenue through upselling on-site.

Key duties include creating and managing groups in OPERA S&C, preparing catering forecasts, completing BEOs and resumes, and coordinating with hotel staff to maximize budgets and ensure flawless execution.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in hotel/hospitality or related field.
• Minimum 1 year in event/conference planning or related hospitality experience.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Successful completion of criminal background check and drug screen.
• Professional communication skills both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage groups in OPERA S&C system.
• Assist with 30-60-90 day catering forecast prepared weekly.
• Complete BEOs and group resumes with pricing and details.
• Conduct weekly BEO meetings to discuss events and budgets.
• Provide information on groups' needs from arrival through departure.
• Act as liaison between lodge and groups for setup and requests.
• Create group resumes detailing purpose, room types, rates, VIPs, agenda.
• Achieve pre-set monthly revenue goals for upselling banquets.
• Meet clients on arrival and introduce to hotel staff.
• Communicate last minute changes to staff and ensure follow-through.
• Plan and conduct pre-convention meetings.
• Resolve complaints from groups and attendees.
