This position is responsible for the operation of a concrete pump truck, including driving to and from the job site, operating the pump, and maintaining the equipment in good condition. Safety is paramount, and the operator must continually improve their knowledge of concrete pumping. The operator should represent the company professionally and relate well with customers. Hours may be irregular with last-minute changes, requiring flexibility.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
Drive the pump truck safely and lawfully, complying with all policies and procedures.
Maintain all licenses, documents, and testing as legally required.
Operate the pump safely, following company and regulatory standards.
Immediately report unsafe conditions or incidents to management.
Make decisions during job performance and accept responsibility for them.
Report accidents or injuries promptly to management.
Set up and clean out the pump system after each job, following all policies.
Perform light repairs and maintenance, recognizing problems and reporting them.
Maintain excellent customer relations through courteous and efficient service.
Keep the pump clean and free of concrete and grease; ensure the system is free of concrete.
Return the system to the designated area after use and keep the yard tidy.
Complete and submit inspection and maintenance forms; keep accurate time records.
Maintain all required licenses and documents related to the equipment.
Travel to various job sites, often out-of-town, and manage logbooks, permits, and expenses.
Work long hours and overtime as needed.
