**Kienstra - Ready Mix Concrete** has served the St. Louis Regional Area since 1947!

We are seeking an experienced technician interested in repairing ready-mix concrete trucks. This is a day shift position, Monday through Friday, with available overtime. The role offers an excellent wage, benefits package, and opportunities for advancement. A valid driver's license with appropriate endorsements and a clean driving record is required.

Pre-employment background checks and drug tests are mandatory. The job involves moderately strenuous activities, including lifting over 75 pounds, long periods of standing/walking, and working in severe weather conditions. You must follow safety guidelines to ensure personal and team safety.

The primary responsibility is to perform routine, preventative, diagnostic, and repair maintenance on all company equipment efficiently and cost-effectively. You may need to work extensive overtime based on weather and business needs.

Core duties include:

  • Performing major, minor, and routine repairs on heavy equipment and vehicles.
  • Adhering to all safety policies including lockout/tagout, confined space, and hazard communication.

Qualifications include:

  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Conflict resolution, time management, and basic math and computer skills.
  • Maintain detailed service records.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Experience with specialized machinery and understanding of machine inner workings.
  • Own hand tools and ability to operate shop equipment like welders, impact wrenches, grinders, etc.
  • Knowledge of health and safety standards.

Additional requirements:

  • Daily equipment inspections.
  • Interaction with fleet managers, drivers, and operations staff.
  • Experience with engine scanning systems and specific truck brands is desirable.
  • Experience with end dump and pneumatic trailers, DPF, electrical, air, fuel, and brake systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and perform welding and fabrication.
  • Perform repairs on fleet equipment on-site and on the road.
  • Maintain accurate repair documentation.
  • Potential travel to various plant locations.

Job responsibilities include inspecting, repairing, and maintaining diesel-powered equipment, diagnosing faults, and performing preventive maintenance using various tools and testing equipment. The role involves test-driving trucks, diagnosing mechanical issues, and repairing systems such as brakes, drive train, electrical, emissions, engine, frame, HVAC, hydraulics, steering, suspension, and tires.

Technical certifications and a CDL are desirable.
