Job summary

Jostin Construction in Cincinnati is seeking a Project Manager – Concrete to lead all facets of project management, including budgeting, scheduling, procurement, document control, quality, and overseeing multiple concrete projects.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will coordinate with division leaders, field operations, suppliers, and project Owners to ensure on-time delivery, project profitability, and strict adherence to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Read and understand construction drawings, specifications, contracts, manuals, and technical correspondence.
• Understand job estimate components and how drawings relate to the estimate.
• Understand full lifecycle of contracts from award to closeout.
• Knowledge of workforce planning and manpower resource allocating.
• Strong written communication and reporting skills.
• Organizational ability to coordinate projects, people, suppliers, and stakeholders.
• Attention to detail and thoroughness in documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist management with all construction activities coordinating work and schedules with division leaders and the project team.
• Assist in determining appropriate construction methods and strategy employing the most cost-effective plan and schedule.
• Review drawings and specifications, monitor progress, and ensure compliance with plans and schedules.
• Assist with the preparation of competitive job estimates by interpreting drawings and bid documents.
• Assist with, develop, and write sub-contracts and purchase orders as required.
• Manage submittal process, ensuring that all submittal information is reviewed and routed for necessary approval.
• Assist in ensuring project financial success by establishing and managing project budgets; prepare and report on job cost.
• Work closely with operations management and Field Operations Manager regarding resources required to meet project schedule.
• Assist with safety compliance.
• Ensure all project and payroll financial documentation is submitted timely throughout the work week.
• Weekly site visits to project jobsites for coordination with project Superintendent.
• Primary point of contact for assigned projects.
• Direct communication with project Owners, Construction Managers and project teams.
• Attend onsite coordination meetings and project specific meetings.
• Any other tasks as assigned.
