Job summary

Brown and Root Industrial Services seeks a capable construction laborer to prepare sites, operate tools, and assist with concrete pouring and formwork. You will work in varied weather conditions, comply with safety rules, and coordinate with crew to complete daily tasks efficiently.

The role involves lifting up to 50 lbs, reading plans, and using hand tools and machinery to support concrete placement and site clean-up, ensuring timely progress and quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with prior field experience preferred.
• Knowledge of common field concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Under supervision with clear instructions.
• Ability to work in inclement weather and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Independent judgment is not typically required.

Responsibilities

• Operate jackhammers and drills to break up concrete or pavement.
• Position, join, align and seal structural components.
• Mix, pour, and spread concrete using cement mixers.
• Signal equipment operators for location and movement of machinery.
• Finish freshly poured concrete with floats, trowels, or screeds.
• Maintain and monitor pumps, compressors, and generators.
• Lubricate and repair machinery and tools.
• Read plans and instructions to determine work activities.
• Ensure site safety and proper waste handling procedures.
• Load and unload materials according to project plans.
