Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services is seeking a skilled construction laborer to prepare sites, perform housekeeping, and support daily activities on active projects.

Responsibilities include operating jackhammers, drills, and concrete finishing tools, reading plans, and assisting with form work and material handling. The role requires physical stamina and adherence to safety guidelines on site.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent; prior field experience preferred.
• Familiarity with standard construction concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Follows instructions and established guidelines to perform duties.
• Ability to work in inclement weather and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.

Responsibilities

• Operate jackhammers and drills to break up concrete or pavement.
• Position, join, align and seal structural components.
• Pour, spread and finish concrete using finishing tools.
• Read and interpret plans and specifications to determine work activities.
• Load, unload, and identify materials and equipment as per project plans.
• Maintain safety practices and wear required PPE.
