Job summary

SGS North America Inc. seeks a Laboratory Technician to conduct quality control/assurance testing on construction products and materials.

Responsibilities include mixing and batching concrete, fabricating samples, and recording data in a temperature-controlled lab and field environments. The role requires a High School Diploma or GED with 0-3 years of lab testing experience; associates or bachelor’s degree preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 0-3 years of experience in laboratory testing.
• Basic knowledge of hand and power tools and sample fabrication.
• Basic math, reasoning and problem-solving abilities.
• Advanced English language proficiency.
• Basic familiarity with Office 365

Responsibilities

• Shoveling and mixing concrete.
• Fabrication of test samples (weigh ingredients and mix).
• Clean and assemble molds or equipment.
• Perform testing in accordance with applicable standards.
• Provide technical advice on testing techniques and solutions.
• Adhere to internal standards, policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned
