Job summary

Global Earthwork + Underground is seeking a Quality Control Technician to perform field and lab testing of construction materials and ensure compliance with project specifications. The role supports heavy civil projects, reports to the Quality Manager, and focuses on accurate testing procedures and timely results.

Responsibilities include concrete placement testing, moisture-density testing, and maintaining test documentation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic computer skills including Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Able to travel locally to project sites.
• Able to pass a drug test and background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform field and laboratory testing of construction materials such as concrete, soils and aggregates.
• Conduct sampling and testing as directed by Quality Control Management.
• Perform concrete placement testing.
• Perform moisture-density and field density testing, including nuclear gauge testing where certified.
• Document and submit test results using company systems and reporting formats.
• Assist with maintenance of testing equipment and report calibration issues.
