Job summary

B&B Concrete is seeking a Concrete Estimator to prepare accurate bid proposals and scope analyses for potential construction projects. The role includes quote review, project management, and material purchasing, with pricing estimates for new work and change orders on existing contracts.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of experience in estimating large commercial self-perform concrete projects, understand cast-in-place concrete, and can read technical documents.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of estimating successful large commercial self-perform concrete projects.
• Ability to read and interpret technical and legal documents.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
• Familiarity with concrete components (footings and foundations) and related products.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand bid instructions and prepare material take-offs.
• Estimate labor, materials, buyout items and equipment costs for bids.
• Review proposals and drawings to determine scope of work and quantities.
• Incorporate safety in means and methods during estimating.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and owners/GCs.
• Manage buyout process with Project Manager.
