Job summary

B&B Concrete is seeking a qualified Concrete Estimator to prepare accurate bid proposals and scope analyses for potential projects. You will takeoffs, review specs, and estimate labor, materials, equipment, and buyouts to deliver competitive prices with appropriate profit margins.

With at least two years of estimating large commercial self-perform concrete work, you will collaborate with project managers, suppliers, and owners to secure bids and drive company growth while maintaining safety

Qualifications

• At least 2 years estimating successful large commercial self-perform concrete projects.
• Knowledge of cast-in-place concrete construction, footings, and foundations.
• Strong verbal and written communication with contractors, suppliers, and customers.
• Ability to read and interpret technical and legal documents.
• Familiarity with structural products (joist, deck, stairs, rails, anchor rods).
• Experience with estimating software and MS Office.
• Experience with B2W software is a plus.
• Entrepreneurial, self-motivated, and able to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Functions as Lead Estimator.
• Read and understand bid instructions, detailed specifications, prepare a take-off of materials.
• Estimate labor, materials, buyout items, equipment costs (including crane costs) for a thorough price estimate.
• Review proposals, specifications, drawings, attend pre-bid meetings to determine scope and develop quantity take-offs.
• Incorporate safety in the means and methods decision making during estimating.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Develop and maintain relationships with owners and general contractors.
• Responsible for buyout process with Project Manager.
