Job summary

B&B Concrete is seeking a Concrete Estimator to provide accurate bid proposals and scope analysis for potential commercial projects. The role includes leading estimate efforts, performing detailed material take-offs, and developing complete price estimates with labor, materials, equipment, and buyout items.

You will review proposals and drawings, participate in pre-bid meetings, and maintain strong supplier and contractor relationships while ensuring safety in the estimation process.

Qualifications

• 2+ years estimating large commercial self-perform concrete projects.
• Knowledge of cast in place concrete construction, footings, and foundations.
• Good verbal and written communication with contractors, suppliers, purchasing, sales and others.
• Ability to read and interpret technical and legal documents.
• Experience with estimating software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Functions as Lead Estimator.
• Read and understand bid instructions, prepare a take-off of materials.
• Estimate labor, materials, buyout items, and equipment costs to prepare a price estimate.
• Review proposals, specifications, drawings, attend pre-bid meetings to determine scope and develop quantity take-offs.
• Incorporate safety in means and methods during estimating.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
