Job summary

Bechtel Corporation in New Albany, Ohio, is seeking a Field Coordinator for the Batch Plant STR on Project Cardinal. You will manage concrete delivery planning, coordinate with the batch plant, and ensure continuous supply for around-the-clock placements.

The role requires a civil/construction engineering background with 5–12 years of field experience in heavy civil or industrial construction, and familiarity with ready-mix batching and plant operations.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree in civil/construction engineering, construction management, or an equivalent combination.
• Five or more years of field experience on heavy civil or industrial construction.
• Experience with ready-mix batching operations, mix designs, and admixtures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the rolling concrete placement forecast and reconcile weekly against production capacity.
• Administer electronic concrete request system with correct mix design, quantity, pour rate and start time.
• Coordinate truck sequencing, cycle times, haul routing to maintain continuous supply through placements, including night pours.
• Verify plant readiness, backup plant availability, transit mixer count, and offsite backup facility when on-site plant is unavailable.
• Manage in-progress changes during a pour and communicate with plant, site superintendent, and field engineer.
• Serve as day-to-day field interface with plant management and elevate commercial or performance matters.
• Track subcontractor compliance with plant requirements and certifications.
• Ensure electronic batch tickets and production records are issued and retrievable.
• Monitor stock levels of aggregates/cement/admixtures against schedule.
