What You Will Do
The Reside Concierge Program is integral to our brand and services—we create a lifestyle for residents, providing convenience and community that is usually unavailable to renters in Chicago neighborhoods.
Concierge Core Responsibilities
- Greeting and registering guests and prospective residents
- Accepting packages and coordinating deliveries
- Providing tourist and city information, maps, driving and CTA directions
- Arranging pet‑sitting, walking services and other household services (e.g., water plant care)
- Booking transportation services such as cabs and limousines
- Monitoring security systems and cameras
- Offering key‑date reminder services
- Planning and coordinating resident events
Leasing Support
- Perform light leasing duties (guest cards, property information)
- Refer prospects to appropriate offices
- Provide walk‑in traffic with rental information
- Serve as leasing backup for after‑hours and rollover calls across all Reside properties
Property Management Duties
- Create and send a monthly e‑newsletter and resident activities calendar
- Provide after‑hours answering services for Reside property offices
- Respond to resident emergencies and coordinate on‑call maintenance staff
- Accept, forward or enter service requests from residents
- Call residents for follow‑up on completed service requests
- Manage community information within CFR systems
- Monitor security systems and cameras
Events and Functions
- Assist managers in conducting regular social events at various properties
- Create and coordinate residents’ parties and functions
Skills and Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- One year of customer‑facing experience in hospitality, retail sales or food services
- Experience in property management, leasing, community management or administrative assistance preferred
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask
- Problem‑solving ability through communication and ingenuity
- Impeccable attention to detail, pride in quality of work, and high energy
- Comfortable working independently while enjoying teamwork
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
Physical Requirements
- Stand and walk most of the day; minimal sitting; 90%+ time on feet
- Pick up and move items, including litter and filing materials
- Open and close doors, reach above shoulder height
- Inspect and show properties, push or pull supplies
- Stand, walk, travel between properties constantly
- Write, type, use office equipment, and manipulate small objects (telephone, doorknob)
Weight lifting capacity:
- Rarely over 25 lbs.
- Occasional lifting 20‑25 lbs. (1% to 33% of the time)
- Frequent lifting < 20 lbs. (33% to 66% of the time)
- Constant lifting < 10 lbs. (66% to 100% of the time)
