Job summary

Equity Residential in Cambridge, MA is seeking a Concierge to deliver exceptional resident experiences, greet guests, coordinate tours, and support move-ins with professionalism.

You will handle packages, respond to inquiries, assist with transportation, and coordinate routine service requests while maintaining security and accuracy in all tasks. Flex schedule with weekday evenings is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have strong communication and customer service skills.
• Proficient in computers and basic software.
• Able to work Mon-Fri 3:00pm–11:30pm.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation if required by role.

Responsibilities

• Warmly welcome residents, prospects, and guests, handling packages promptly and professionally.
• Answer phones with courtesy, prepare for self-guided tours, and proactively address customer needs.
• Provide resident services such as lockout assistance, transportation arrangements, and event support.
• Facilitate routine service requests, promptly passing them to relevant personnel, and coordinating emergency responses.
• Ensure timely entry of service requests and conduct routine inspections for organized common areas.
• Vigilantly monitor security systems for a secure environment.
• Implement security measures by securing sensitive information and locking computers when away.
• Work Schedule: Monday - Friday from 3:00pm - 11:30pm

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Concierge, you will spend most of your time delivering superior customer service, ensuring seamless tour experiences, exceptional move-ins, total satisfaction, express service, and personal attention, contributing significantly to customer loyalty and resident retention while embodying professionalism at all times.

What You’ll Need To Thrive

• High School diploma or equivalent
• A valid driver's license, good driving record, auto insurance, and reliable transportation is required if the employee will operate a motorized vehicle (e.g., car, golf cart) during their workday and/or as part of their role.
• Computer literacy and effective communication skills. Must be able to effectively communicate both orally and in writing in English for all work-related purposes.
• Knowledge of federal and state apartment housing laws
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends
• Office team employees, with limited exceptions, are required to use their own Smartphone to perform certain aspects of their job. The device must have updated software and must be password-protected and compliant with in-house security systems.
• Ability to use the computer effectively and read written communications. Ability to lift, push, pull or carry up to 15 pounds for the dissemination of documents, supplies, materials, etc. to various locations throughout the office/facility. May be required to climb stairs depending on the property structure.

Salary

$22.50 to $27.50 per hour

• Employees are eligible for overtime pay and performance incentives.
