Job summary

MFort Security Services is seeking a professional Third Shift Concierge Security Officer to join our Evanston team. You will maintain a safe, welcoming environment at a commercial property, greet residents and visitors, and enforce access controls.

The role emphasizes strong customer service, calm demeanor, and front-desk experience. The ideal candidate has 2+ years in frontline security, a valid IL PERC card, and the ability to work Thursday–Monday nights.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be willing to travel to Evanston.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must have a valid Illinois PERC card and 20-hour security training certificate (or ability to obtain).
• Minimum 2 years of commercial or front desk security experience.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and remain composed under pressure.
• Capable of standing and walking for extended periods.
• Able to work independently.
• Must pass a drug screening and background check.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist residents, guests, and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
• Enforce access control procedures and monitor visitor management systems.
• Observe, report, and document incidents, safety hazards, or suspicious activity.
• Conduct routine patrols of the property to ensure a secure and orderly environment.
• Maintain situational awareness and respond promptly to emergencies or concerns.
• Adhere to all company policies, post orders, and client procedures.
• Communicate effectively with property management, clients, team members, and contractors.
• Responsibly use company and client-provided equipment for security and monitoring tasks.
• Perform additional duties as required by site management or MFort supervisors.
