Job summary

Sun Harbor Healthcare is seeking a compassionate Concierge to welcome residents and families at our Port Charlotte facility. You will collaborate with Admissions to prepare rooms, ensure equipment readiness, and deliver welcome baskets while guiding new residents to their rooms.

The role requires excellent communication, customer service, and teamwork. A service-first mindset with attention to detail is essential; nursing home experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Basic computer and office equipment proficiency.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Detail-oriented with a service-first mindset.
• Preferred: Prior nursing home experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Admissions to prepare rooms for new residents.
• Ensure all room equipment (bed, oxygen, etc.) is ready and functioning.
• Assemble and deliver welcome baskets.
• Greet and escort residents to their rooms upon admission.
• Provide emotional support to residents and families.
• Respond promptly to call bells and resident needs.
• Handle complaints and refer concerns via the grievance process.
• Attend Resident Council meetings and in-service trainings.
• Conduct facility tours as needed.
• Assist with room changes and transitions.
• Complete follow-up forms within 48 business hours of admission/discharge.
• Supervise scheduled smoking sessions.

Shift: Full-Time | 10:30 AM - 6:30 PM
Pay: $18-$20/hour (based on experience)
