Job summary

Scripps College is seeking a Concert Manager to oversee logistics and production for the Music Department’s performances at the Performing Arts Center, Balch Auditorium, and related venues.

You will coordinate schedules, stage manage, coordinate guest artists, and produce printed programs and posters, working with faculty, staff, and students to ensure timely, polished concerts.

This is a regular part-time (15 hours/week) position with some remote work possible and an hourly rate of $24.25–$25.72.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of music presented by the Scripps College Music Department.
• Experience with stage managing for music performances, particularly in higher education.
• Ability to compile, edit, and format concert programs with attention to composers' names, genres, titles, and lyrics in multiple languages.
• Ability to work with software that produces posters and programs.

Responsibilities

• Manage logistics for Scripps College Music Department concert events at the Performing Arts Center, Balch Auditorium, and related venues.
• Coordinate the Friday Noon Concerts and other recitals, including calendars and scheduling.
• Produce printed programs and concert posters; handle postings and mailings.
• Coordinate performance and rehearsal schedules; contact and contract guest artists.
