Job summary

Berklee College of Music in Boston is seeking students to provide production support for the Conservatory's recital halls. You will handle front- and back-of-house duties for events in Seully Hall, Houston Hall, Studio T401, and Ipswich 106, ensuring smooth operations.

Responsibilities include staging and audience setup, serving as house manager or usher, operating stage moves, running concert lighting, and providing light-technical support as needed.

Job description

Eligibility Requirements
  • Current student at Berklee College of Music or Boston Conservatory at Berklee.
  • Enrolled at least half‑time in a degree, diploma, or certificate‑seeking undergraduate or graduate program.
  • Summer is the only semester in which a student can maintain employment without being enrolled. In this case, the student must be pre‑registered for the upcoming fall semester.
  • This exception does not apply to fall or spring semesters.
  • Have a valid United States Social Security Number (SSN).
  • Remain in ‘valid’ Visa status as applicable.
  • A minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA. Students in their first semester can work, even though they do not have an official GPA until the completion of their first semester.
  • Federal Work Study student may apply.
  • In good disciplinary standing.
  • Must be located in the U.S.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide front‑and back‑of‑house support for all events supported by Concert Production in the Conservatory’s four recital halls: Seully Hall, Houston Hall, Studio T401, and Ipswich 106.
  • Stage and audience set‑ups for Conservatory concerts and recitals.
  • Serve as house manager and/or usher for all concert‑production supported events.
  • Serve as stage crew during concerts and recitals, executing stage moves as needed.
  • Run concert lighting as requested for all supported performances.
  • Provide light‑technical support for events as needed.
  • Track audience attendance, timing, and other event data for all supported performances.
  • Provide stage‑crew assistance during off‑campus performances.
  • Assist with setting up QR codes for audience members.
  • Other duties as assigned.
