Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Communications Security Manager (COMSEC Manager) to support an IT Service Management effort for USTRANSCOM at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois. The role provides COMSEC oversight for USTRANSCOM, the Transportation Component Commands, and other reporting elements.

The candidate will manage COMSEC processes, ETA training, KMI operations, incident reporting, and governance, with DoD policy adherence and strong documentation skills, across a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• BA/BS minimum four years of experience in a related field.
• DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI access.
• IAT Level II certifications or equivalent.
• CE certification or certificate for network defense responsibilities.
• KMI certification or equivalent knowledge of key management.
• Ability to communicate IT, networking, and security concepts to varied audiences.
• Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Ability to manage multiple high-priority tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-starter and problem solver.

Responsibilities

• Execute COMSEC processes and procedures per DoD policy.
• Maintain COMSEC accounts and act as CCEA Custodian with SBSS.
• Develop and train COMSEC ETA programs and user training.
• Develop and disseminate COMSEC policies and procedures.
• Order and manage COMSEC material and keying materials.
• Operate KMI for electronic key generation.
• Enforce access controls for COMSEC materials.
• Perform COMSEC incident reporting and After Action Reviews.
• Provide recurring and ad-hoc reporting.
• Prepare point papers and briefings on COMSEC issues.
