Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Communications Security Manager (COMSEC Manager) to support USTRANSCOM at Scott AFB, IL. The role involves COMSEC oversight for USTRANSCOM and related commands, ensuring policy compliance and secure key management.

The position is on-site with potential after-hours support during events. The successful candidate will manage COMSEC accounts, deliver training programs, and coordinate KMI operations.

Qualifications

• BA/BS required with four+ years of experience.
• DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI access.
• IAT Level II certifications: Security+, CECCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CND, SSCP.
• CE certs or certificates for Network support/defense or Operating System (e.g., Windows, Linux, Solaris).
• KMI certification required.
• Ability to explain IT, networking and security concepts to varied audiences.
• Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation.
• MS Office expertise (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Ability to handle multiple high-priority tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-starter and problem solver.

Responsibilities

• Execute COMSEC processes per DoD policy and USTRANSCOM direction.
• Maintain COMSEC accounts including CCEA with SBSS oversight.
• Develop and deliver COMSEC ETA and training programs for officers and users.
• Develop and disseminate COMSEC policies and procedural guidance.
• Order and manage COMSEC materials and keying material.
• Operate the Key Management Infrastructure (KMI) for electronic keys.
• Ensure access controls for cleared personnel and need-to-know policy.
• Produce COMSEC incident reports and after-action reviews.
• Provide ongoing and ad-hoc reporting; create point papers and briefings.
