Piedmont Technical College is compiling an active pool of qualified candidates for adjunct faculty (temporary, part-time) positions across its Lex D. Walters Campus and six county centers.

Openings may include daytime or evening classes, online instruction, and dual credit courses at local high schools. Responsibilities include teaching a diverse student body, utilizing instructional technology, and delivering course instruction while adhering to program requirements and college standards.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in the teaching discipline or an associate degree with demonstrated competencies in the teaching discipline is required.
• Experience teaching diverse student populations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach at the Lex D. Walters Campus and/or at one of Piedmont Technical College's six county centers (Laurens, Newberry, Edgefield, Saluda, Abbeville, McCormick).
• Deliver daytime or evening classes, online instruction, and dual credit courses as opportunities arise.
• Teach a diverse student body at various locations using instructional technology and varied teaching methods.
• Plan, manage, and deliver course instruction; follow EPA and OSHA regulations pertaining to the program; participate in college functions; and support program improvement.

Opportunities may include daytime or evening classes, online instruction, and dual credit courses offered at local high schools. Applications will be reviewed on an as-needed basis as teaching opportunities become available.

Additional duties include planning, managing, and delivering course instruction; following all EPA and OSHA regulations that pertain to the program; participating in college functions as needed; and applying teaching practices that support the continuous improvement of both the program and the college.

Adjunct faculty are expected to serve as professional team members who support the mission and vision of the college while performing their duties with the highest level of quality and service.
