Job description

Job Responsibilities

Piedmont Technical College is accepting applications to build an active pool of qualified candidates for Adjunct Faculty (temporary, part‑time) positions. Adjunct instructors may teach at the Lex D. Walters Campus and/or at one of the college’s six county centers located in Laurens, Newberry, Edgefield, Saluda, Abbeville, and McCormick. Opportunities may include daytime or evening classes, online instruction, and dual credit courses offered at local high schools. Applications will be reviewed on an as‑needed basis as teaching opportunities become available.

• Teach a diverse student body in accordance with established syllabi at various locations.
• Utilize instructional technology.
• Apply a variety of effective teaching methods.
• Plan, manage, and deliver course instruction.
• Follow all EPA and OSHA regulations that pertain to the program.
• Participate in college functions as needed.
• Apply teaching practices that support continuous improvement of the program and the college.
• Serve as professional team members supporting the mission and vision of the college with high quality and service.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field is required.
• MOS certifications in Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• All courses with an AHS or HIM prefix require a master’s degree in Health Information Management (HIM) or a related field and/or certification in medical coding and billing.
