Walters Campus and/or at one of the college’s six county centers located in Laurens, Newberry, Edgefield, Saluda, Abbeville, and McCormick. Opportunities may include daytime or evening classes, online instruction, and dual credit courses offered at local high schools.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development required, or Master's with 18 graduate semester hours in qualifying fields.

Responsibilities

• Teach a diverse student body in accordance with established syllabi at various locations.
• Utilize instructional technology in teaching.
• Plan, manage and deliver course instruction.
• Follow EPA and OSHA regulations pertaining to the program.
• Participate in college functions and support program and college improvement.
• Adjunct faculty to serve as professional team members supporting the college mission.

Applications will be reviewed on an as-needed basis as teaching opportunities become available.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, teaching a diverse student body in accordance with established syllabi at various locations, utilizing instructional technology, and applying a variety of effective teaching methods. Additional duties include planning, managing, and delivering course instruction; following all EPA and OSHA regulations that pertain to the program; participating in college functions as needed; and applying teaching practices that support the continuous improvement of both the program and the college.

Adjunct faculty are expected to serve as professional team members who support the mission and vision of the college while performing their duties with the highest level of quality and service.

Minimum And Additional Requirements

A master's degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development is required, or a master's degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in any combination of the qualifying fields.
