Piedmont Technical College is seeking qualified Adjunct Faculty to fill temporary, part-time teaching roles at the Lex D. Walters Campus and six county centers across Laurens, Newberry, Edgefield, Saluda, Abbeville, and McCormick. Opportunities may include daytime, evening, online instruction, and dual credit courses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field.
• MOS certifications in Word, Access, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses at the Lex D. Walters Campus or at one of the college’s six county centers as needed.
• Plan, manage and deliver course instruction; follow EPA and OSHA regulations for the program.
• Support program and college improvement through effective teaching practices.

Job Responsibilities

Piedmont Technical College is accepting applications to build an active pool of qualified candidates for Adjunct Faculty (temporary, part-time) positions. Adjunct instructors may teach at the Lex D. Walters Campus and/or at one of the college’s six county centers located in Laurens, Newberry, Edgefield, Saluda, Abbeville, and McCormick. Opportunities may include daytime or evening classes, online instruction, and dual credit courses offered at local high schools. Applications will be reviewed on an as-needed basis as teaching opportunities become available.

• Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, teaching a diverse student body in accordance with established syllabi at various locations, utilizing instructional technology, and applying a variety of effective teaching methods.
• Additional duties include planning, managing, and delivering course instruction; following all EPA and OSHA regulations that pertain to the program; participating in college functions as needed; and applying teaching practices that support the continuous improvement of both the program and the college.

Adjunct faculty are expected to serve as professional team members who support the mission and vision of the college while performing their duties with the highest level of quality and service.

Minimum And Additional Requirements

A bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field is required, along with Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) certifications in Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint.

All courses with an AHS or HIM prefix require a master's degree in Health Information Management (HIM) or a related field and/or certification in medical coding and billing.
