Piedmont Technical College is recruiting adjunct faculty to support daytime, evening, online, and dual credit courses at its Lex D. Walters Campus and six county centers in Laurens, Newberry, Edgefield, Saluda, Abbeville, and McCormick.

Positions are temporary and part-time; candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field and MOS certifications in Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Teach diverse student body across multiple campuses (Lex D. Walters Campus and six county centers).
• Utilize instructional technology and varied teaching methods to deliver courses.
• Plan, manage, and deliver course instruction; align with syllabi and EPA/OSHA reg parp bodies as applicable.
• Engage in college functions and contribute to program and college continuous improvement.

Job Responsibilities

Piedmont Technical College is accepting applications to build an active pool of qualified candidates for Adjunct Faculty (temporary, part-time) positions. Adjunct instructors may teach at the Lex D. Walters Campus and/or at one of the college’s six county centers located in Laurens, Newberry, Edgefield, Saluda, Abbeville, and McCormick. Opportunities may include daytime or evening classes, online instruction, and dual credit courses offered at local high schools. Applications will be reviewed on an as-needed basis as teaching opportunities become available.

• Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, teaching a diverse student body in accordance with established syllabi at various locations, utilizing instructional technology, and applying a variety of effective teaching methods.
• Additional duties include planning, managing, and delivering course instruction; following all EPA and OSHA regulations that pertain to the program; participating in college functions as needed; and applying teaching practices that support the continuous improvement of both the program and the college.

Adjunct faculty are expected to serve as professional team members who support the mission and vision of the college while performing their duties with the highest level of quality and service.

Minimum And Additional Requirements

A bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field is required, along with Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) certifications in Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint.

All courses with an AHS or HIM prefix require a master's degree in Health Information Management (HIM) or a related field and/or certification in medical coding and billing.
