Weber State University in Ogden is seeking a part-time Tutor in Computer Science to support students at the Davis Learning Center. Tutoring is drop-in based and training is provided. Availability is determined by the tutor, and this is a pooled position with openings announced as they arise.

Applicants must be WSU students, capable of tutoring at the Davis campus, have earned a B or better in the courses they tutor, and demonstrate strong listening and communication skills.

• This position requires the tutor to be a current WSU student.
• Ability to tutor at the Davis campus.
• A grade of B or better in the courses you propose to tutor.
• Strong working knowledge of the subject matter and good listening skills.

Responsibilities

• Tutor WSUs students in Computer Science at the Davis Learning Center on a drop-in basis.
• Tutoring availability is determined by the tutor; training in tutoring techniques is provided.
• This is a pooled position; applicants are notified as positions become available.

Job Summary/Basic Function

TutorWSUstudents in Computer Science at the Davis Learning Center as part of the Learning Support department. Tutoring is done on a drop‑in basis. Availability for drop‑in shifts is determined by the tutor. We require and provide training in tutoring techniques. **This is a pooled position. Applicants are selected from the pool as positions become available. After a period of time the pool will expire and applicants will be notified.

Required Qualifications

• Must be a WSU student
• Must be able to tutor at the Davis campus
• Must have earned a B or better in the courses you propose to tutor.
• A strong working knowledge of the subject matter you will be tutoring.
• Good listening, communication, and interpersonal skills.
