An established industry player is urgently seeking a Computer Operator Direct to manage and oversee seismic data processing operations. This role requires proficiency in both Linux and Windows operating systems, along with strong communication and problem-solving skills. Responsibilities include managing a full range of computer and peripheral equipment necessary to process seismic data by performing the listed duties.
This position reports to the Shift Supervisor. The Operations staff operates 24/7/365.
Monitoring and controlling company-wide projects and priorities, load adjustments, batch balancing on all systems, including Omega OCM / Cloud software, and interacting with internal/external customers, vendors, and support teams to resolve system alerts and support calls.
Ability to stand, crouch, stoop, walk, and lift/move up to 25 pounds regularly.
On-premises.
Ability to read, interpret, and write routine reports and communicate effectively with internal customers and support staff.
Ability to perform duties safely, establish effective relationships, and be proficient with Linux and Windows OS.
Oversee scheduling and monitoring of seismic processing jobs on large cluster systems, ensure proper job completion, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with support teams to resolve hardware/software problems.
