Northrop Grumman Space Systems – Launch and Missile Defense Systems has an exciting career opportunity for a Computer Operations Analyst – Computer Operations Support Analyst (COSA) (24-262) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals at Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, CO.

Position Overview:

The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program integrates the Missile Defense System. It is a vital operational system that enables the U.S. president, secretary of defense, and combatant commanders to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations and manage designated networked sensors and weapons systems to achieve global and regional mission objectives.

The candidate will be part of a team that reports to the C2BMC Watch Officer (CWO) and performs daily system monitoring, operations, and maintenance of the C2BMC systems in a 24x7 operations and test environment, focusing on Lab and Test activities.

Essential Functions:

• Provide first-level technical support to the warfighter and perform initial troubleshooting of all local C2BMC hardware, software, and networks.

• Document and report all events/issues to the CWO and receive tasking and direction from the CCC for all operations tests & real-world events.

• Assist in all hardware/software installation directed by local SMEs and create and maintain user accounts as directed by the local ISSO.

Basic Qualifications:

• An active Secret clearance is required to start with the ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.

• 2 years with a Bachelor’s degree in a related field; 6 years experience in lieu of a degree.

• Must possess a DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA).

• Must have sound background and experience with operations and maintenance of large-scale computer and communications systems/networking environments.

• Must have background and experience in system and/or network administration that includes UNIX, Linux, Windows, Cisco, and Juniper.

• Must have background and experience in troubleshooting hardware and software components.

• Position requires rotating 24 x 7 rotating shift work. The candidate will be assigned to a shift, and mission requirements will determine the assignment (Ops or Training). Some substitute rotation during off-shifts, including nights and weekends, will be required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Active TS/SCI clearance is highly desired.

• Experience and knowledge of C2BMC Systems or Missile Defense Systems.
